To my surprise, they were much better live!!!
I had never seen a lagoon with such vibrant colors and the hotel facilities perfectly matched this paradisiacal environment.
The first thing that caught my attention was a beautiful deck on the lake with chairs for you to enjoy all the peace that the place offers, as well as being the perfect place to take unforgettable photos of your trip.

Casa Bakal Bacalar facilities
The hotel has the advantage of also being a hostel, ideal for those who want to enjoy beautiful moments as a couple in bungalows facing the lagoon or for those who want to share rooms and spend less.
It has a shared kitchen, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, massage service and excellent service (all the staff are very friendly).
Breakfast is included in the daily rate and is very good. They offer fruit, bread, scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, quesadillas, juice and coffee. The best part is the beautiful view you have while enjoying your coffee.
Additionally, you have 10 kayaks at your disposal to explore the lagoon (free of charge) or you can rent a SUP to enjoy this wonder of nature.
The hotel also offers bicycle rentals to take you to the center of Bacalar and offers boat trips there at fixed prices.

Standard Double Room with shared bathroom
These are the most affordable rooms at Casa Bakal Bacalar, located on the first floor of the main building.
The bathrooms are shared and are located near the hotel kitchen. It is worth mentioning that any guest can use the bathroom, as it is located in the common area of the hotel.
On the other hand, they are always clean. It is an excellent option for those who want to enjoy Bacalar and spend less.
Bacalar: a place to rest
The city of Bacalar is very different from other destinations like Cancun ou Playa del Carmen, as it does not have a lively nightlife.
It is a place to rest and enjoy the fresh, turquoise waters of Lagoa das 7 Cores.
If you are planning a trip to Cancun ou Riviera Maya, my suggestion is to stay 2 nights in this paradise.
How to get to Bacalar
To get to Bacalar you can rent a car (the road is well signposted and excellent) or you can use the ADO buses, which have constant departures from Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
